Wedding Inspiration

Eco-Friendly Washington Photo Shoot from Jasmine Star

The concept for the shoot was driven by the idea that weddings can be beautiful AND environmentally-conscious all at the same time. There are ways of incorporating organic color palettes and re-purposed materials into your celebration that far exceed just the use of vintage wares. I saw the design for this shoot being a sustainable-modern take on the popular vintage trend with a focus on the lifestyle of the PNW.

"The dress was flown in from the UK and was designed and custom-made by an artist and photographer by the name of Martha Webb. Martha originally created the dress for an art foundation show, but it felt like the perfect artistic fit for our shoot, and we are so grateful she was willing to lend her talents to this styled shoot."

"The color palette and materials reflect a natural and organic feeling with neutral tones, highlighted by the use of wood, cork, macramé rope, organic silk, vintage glass bottles and metal tins in an industrial setting. The burnt orange and mustard yellow pops of color created a cheerful juxtaposition to the natural vibe of the design. I wanted the design to feel very clean and simple at the same time, without too much fuss."

I'd like to share this wonderful and oh so beautiful inspiration board today from a very lovely lady and Guest Blogger.

Wedding Style File for ZsaZsa Bellagio
by Rachel Cravit

"As a wedding blogger, I spend a sizable portion of my day sourcing beautiful images -- or at least trying to. I know it doesn't seem like it but tracking down quality eye candy is actually a lot harder than it looks. It's so easy to spot a pretty wedding blog and think, "I could so do that", which is exactly what I thought when I created Wedding Style File just over a year ago. "

"At the time, of course, I wasn't aware how long it actually took to put together a good blog post. You've got to come up with an idea -- sure -- and writing can certainly occupy a good 2-3 hours of your time. But unarguably the most time consuming item on any wedding blogger's agenda is images: usually, I need to visit 10-15 blogs, tumblrs and Pinterest boards before I can even begin to put a post together. "

"So, you can imagine my surprise (and delight) when I stumbled upon an extraordinary blog on an otherwise ordinary day of image hunting: ZsaZsa Bellagio. Within 5 minutes, I was so inspired that I had to stop everything else I was doing, make a cup of tea and hurry back to the screen to soak up every last one of her posts. "

"As someone who views hundreds of blogs a week, I have seen few so beautifully curated as ZsaZsa Bellagio, with so much inspiration in one place. I created the following inspiration board to reflect the beauty, creativity and loveliness ZsaZsa injects into every one of her posts."
