A lady of Many HATS!

She's Glam, She's Creative, She's Fashionable -- She's "Leti-Kat".
"Leti-Kat" is the brainchild of the oh so glamorous, Kathy Stoever.

So just what is Leti-Kat? Well is starts with hats, luxury cashmere, creative design and a passion for fashion.

Kathy Stoever says:
"At Leti-Kat our passion for luxurious cashmere, great design, the environment, and our community is what inspires us to be artful, conscious, and supportive of more than just ourselves. So we set out to find a way to bask in cashmere while still being gentle on the earth. Our line of chic, eco-friendly hats, pillows for the home and other accessories are handcrafted with love by local artisans. We reclaim, deconstruct and re-envision quality cashmere and transform it into exquistely designed pieces."

"Our exclusive process ensures no two pieces are exactly alike, making each unique. Due to the nature of working with reclaimed cashmere, we feature new products every week. Each collection will be consistent in terms of the uber-cool styles, however, the colors and textures may change.

In addition to producing sustainable cashmere products, we also strive to be socially responsible. It's important to us that we hire local Aspen artisans and contribute philanthropically. We donate a portion of each sale to the Shining Stars Foundation which brings hope to children with cancer."

ABOUT KATHY:
Kathy spent much of her childhood running free on the shores of Lake Michigan and her love of its natural beauty has always remained in her soul. She grew up in a family of five with a mother who was very resourceful, hard working and imaginative. Kathy had a free spirited nature and she roved the world in her twenties working as a fashion model. In Paris, she worked with designers such as Yves St. Laurent for his haute couture show and experienced first hand what it was to take a garment from its inception to its completion. She was awed by the creativity involved. In Munich, she met an artist who was making one of a kind children’s clothing and apprenticed her in her shop learning the art of handcrafting garments uniquely and individually. After becoming a mom, Kathy moved to Aspen, Colorado where she continued in her mentor’s footsteps creating one of a kind children’s wear while her daughter was stil very young.

Living an active outdoor lifestyle amidst such natural beauty started to make its mark on her. She encountered many amazing body workers, yogis and healers. Kathy was influenced by Trace Albrecht and learned to work with her hands to help people. She became a massage therapist and yogi working to help people stay fit and healthy. She experienced the interconnectedness of people and the importance of being connected to the environment.

Her love of design would resurface again later through a camera lens. She studied photography with renowned photographers at Anderson Ranch and discovered the medium of encaustic, which gave her the platform to use her hands, as well as her eyes, to create. She continues in both mediums today exploring her art as a means of personal expression.

It is with this passion for artfulness and design that Kathy is fusing her love of fashion, her love of nature and her desire to make a difference through helping others. In this spirit she presents to you her line of high-end, sustainable cashmere fashion that’s rooted in giving back. Leti-Kat’s mission is to provide luxury, warmth and individual style, while leaving the world a better place...one hat at a time.
