"My preoccupation with the perfect space between two beautifully constructed letters is thrilling, almost like pursuing the universal truth. It must be the left-handedness in me, causing compulsive obession to run through my brain and my pen.
I like to develop my own modern styles inspired by everything from vintage perfume bottles and turn-of-the century calling cards to old French schoolbook labels.
My work is done with a pointed pen and gouaches and inks. I have a large collection of nibs from around the world and love experimenting with new nibs and their response to the tooth of different papers."
