The signature of Pierre Germain Gateau, an administrator of military subsistences and friend of Saint-Just. He was thrown in prison on 10 Thermidor and wasn’t released for 15 months. However, he never renounced his friendship with Saint-Just and even wrote the preface for the first published edition of the Fragments sur les institutions républicaines.
